I am very late posting this - but here it is: My Top Music picks of 2012!
I will preface this by saying that this was not the best year for music, and that I did not find anything great or unusual. So these picks are a bit sloppy.
Rihanna: Unapologetic - I love Rihanna, and I really liked this album. It is catchy, and it was not as dancey as she normally is. It is darker just like Rated R was. I approve.
Ellie Goulding: Halcyon - This is great pop music. A little less soulful than Adele, but great none the less. She does a great song with Calvin Harris too, “I Need Your Love.”
Jason Mraz: Love Is A Four Letter Word - Another great Jason Mraz album, still soulful, still kind of funny, and it’s still catchy.
Pitch Perfect Soundtrack - Pitch Perfect was a hilarious movie that came out in the summer, a make fun of Glee, and this is the album that accompanies it. It is just silly mash-ups but they are fun to listen to.
