Hamid's Point Of View
Here is the finished version of the painting. (Completed with Water Colours - May ‘11)
This took me two nights to complete. Though I believe that a good painting should speak for itself, I will explain mine a little because I am not 100% thrilled with it. (But that’s okay, it is my first attempt with water colours.)
When I was first done with the water and seaweed I was originally planning on painting seas creatures in the foreground, but when push came to shove, I wasn’t inspired enough to paint anything. I didn’t want to ruin the ambiance of the water by adding cartoon fish. So I added more colour and murk to the water, to add an element of mystery. The fish hook was added last. I thought it would be fun, make the viewer wonder what was out in the water. What was beyond the painting…
I am not sure if this is an epic fail, or just a first attempt. Either way, I dated and signed it, so it is completed. :)
